Come and visit our new Exeter Quayside Farmers’ Market from 09:00–13:00, every 3rd Saturday of the month down at the Piazza Terracina!
The Market
The quayside market provides the residents of Exeter with access to high quality food and allows for greater connections with local growers and producers. We also host a few non-food traders who are aligned with the ethos of a sustainable, local economy, such as a limited number of crafts people and charity stalls.
Our Aims
The market enhances the local economy through increased footfall, benefiting quayside businesses particularly in the autumn and winter months. Re-establishing the Piazza Terracina location as a lively market pays homage to Exeter’s commercial, cultural, and historical heritage as a market town.
Our focus is on achieving strategic step change across the city, particularly through one of our overarching themes to create a sustainable local food economy. We see farmers’ markets, comprising of local growers and producers, as one of the key drivers in achieving economic resilience and a sustainable transition to net zero, as well as an excellent way of showcasing local food.
