Plunkett Foundation

A charity supporting rural communities across the UK to tackle the issues they face through community business; businesses that are owned and run democratically by members of the community, on behalf of the community. They have worked with individuals and groups in supporting setting up a wide range of community businesses that have been involved in at least one part of growing, harvesting, processing, distributing, selling or serving local food. Examples include farmer’s markets, community-owned shops and food co-operatives.
