Community fridges

Community Fridges are a public space where organisations and households can make perishable food that would have been wasted available to the local community. Sometimes they receive surplus food from local shops and businesses. They are social spaces -anyone can use the fridge.  This reduces stigma and promotes the sharing of foods and other household items. Some organisations in Exeter are considering setting up one or more community fridges.

Devon County Council are hoping to win funding to set up 16 community fridges across the county, including one in Exeter
