The Hot Food Project was born as a response to Covid 19 and the realisation that some children were spending days without a hot meal. The purpose of the project is to provide a hot meal three times per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) recognising that a healthy diet contributes to well being and general health. The project has established a team of volunteers who co-ordinate school, social worker and children centre referrals as well as the preparation and cooking of fresh hot meals delivered by volunteer drivers. The project operates at St Katherines Priory, at Beacon Heath Community centre, Sth Street Baptist Church and Belmont Church. The Hot Food Project is always looking for support and you can donate on their Go Fund Me page.
